The company was founded in 1941 by Kenichi Komatsu at its current head office (Ota-ku, Tokyo) when he established Komatsu Seisakusho as a spring factory. Since then, we have been working consistently to produce springs.

In its early days, the company developed as a factory specializing in precision springs primarily for camera shutters. In response to the needs of different industries, we have gradually spread our sales channels to the following categories: optical instruments, medical equipment, clocks, electrical equipment, telecommunication equipment, office automation equipment, home appliances, automotive parts, jewelry, stationery, and other areas that use precision springs.
